Gauchito Gil
This guy, "little gaucho Gil" but AKA as Gaucho Gil, looks very Indian indeed.
Much more venerated in Argentina than in Chile.

Argentine folk hero and saint, "responsible" for thousands of miracles.
Refused to participate in a civil war that turned brother against brother,
and was murdered by the government; not so hard to believe.
Ask him for a favor in 5 easy steps.
It's not only the guy, it's the shrines' style too...
Remind you of an Indian war ceremony in a Western movie
Like a real war hero, Gil likes alcohol better than sodie pop - judging from the offerings
but mark how those wise guys emptied all those cartons, bottles and cans before offering them!
