Japan

On the Road

factory?

A precious few of the overload of impressions we gathered while driving around the countryside in a rental car.
With many stops to feed and to look around.

First, if you suffer from the popular superstition that the Japanese have such an exquisitely fine taste, this is one occasion to get rid of that crazy idea right now. My brother Wim told me after his first visit there: Everything is beautiful. Bullshit, of course: It's easy for the Japanese to get just as kitschy as we are - with a twist, admittedly. (I mercifully decided to give you some breaks, cutting away to what at least I feel are more tasteful views.)
