Tulbagh is one of those places that Unesco declared a 'Cultural Heritage Monument' - or something (just like Willemstad, Curaçao); horrible tourist traps. But as we were there comfortably out of season we took a good look.
Oh boy, is this place White! You get the idea no black person has ever been there (except, of course, to enter through the back doors.) The churchyard is right across the street from the tourist office, and the remarkable thing about it is that it has been flooded many years back; hence damages and less-than-elaborate monuments sticking out from between the weeds.
