Those pines really rock!
Ronald Reagan infamously remarked "When you've seen one sequoia, you've seen them all"
not only the Green Fascist Mafia still quotes this derogatorily
but I have to admit, he had a point (he had more good points, I'm now forced to concede.)

Most of these have been made in and around Mendocino
and in the 'Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens'

this tree can be visited near by the "Avenue of the Giants".
It's called the "chandelier tree"
. Imagine the greenies' outcry if you hollowed out a sequioa today!
But this was done in the 1930s - and the tree is still thriving.
