There's plenty of good eating to be had.
Especially seafood, but then, that always tickles our palatial fancies.
Having said that, it's not like Japan where we never had a disappointing meal—but some were better.
Here, some were worse; especially in the Western cuisine you'll find a lot of expensive fakery.
The Chinese attitude to food is very refreshing. There's no guilty taboo:
meat comes from animals, pure and simple. You slaughter and cook 'em, and then you eat 'em.
