The book was an initiative of Stichting Curaçao Style, specifically to collect and show off some other photos of mine than those of Yayoi Kusama.
In fact, a proposed title was Not Kusama.
Published in 2024 by Zanolino Gallery, it contains 50 pages of photographs, mainly taken in the 1970s and 1980s.
Speaking for myself, it's something else again than the repetitive volumes of pictures showing architecture,
great and interesting as it is, beaches and all that.
Dutch people who have been living on the island for many years tell me that it showed them things they never knew about.
It was very well received overall, I'm happy to say.
Below some samples. Not very large: the idea is you buy the book!
Which you can do for 45 guilders at Zanolino Gallery, Maritime Museum and Bruna Zuikertuintje Mall.
As our no-good minister of finance has requested PayPal not to accept payments for Curaçao and those bastards went along with that, you'd have to use, and pay for,
a bank transfer to order. Which is unaffordable. (I hated our government already. Don't make no difference, mon.)
